About Jane Reagan, MEd RD Registered Dietitian
Jane Reagan holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Health Education from the University of Arizona. She holds a Master of Education in Counseling degree from Boston University, and became a Registered Dietician through the University of Northern Colorado. Jane’s experience in the fields of education, counseling, and nutrition spans 20 years.
Jane currently works as a clinical nutritionist at Essential Nutrition, where she counsels adults, students, families, and children. Jane started her work in nutrition and wellness at Canyon Ranch Health Resort in Tucson, Arizona, followed by group counseling work at an in-patient eating disorders hospital in Boston. Her professional exposure to a broad range of nutrition, wellness, and emotional-related issues established a firm foundation for her current practice, which focuses on weight-loss and healthy eating, food allergies and sensitivities, eating disorders and emotional eating, celiac disease, diabetes, CVD, hypoglycemia, adrenal fatigue, ADD/ADHD, and family and child nutrition. Jane offers one-on-one consultations, group workshops, nutrition presentations, and grocery store tours. In addition, Jane also works at the University of Colorado at Boulder Wardenburg Health Center.
For the past five years, Jane has contributed significantly to nutrition and wellness within the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). Jane developed BVSD’s Food Allergy website. She is also a Nutrition Educator for the Growe Foundation and Garden to Table, an elementary school experiential learning program involving organic vegetable gardens, wellness promotion, nutrition education, and cooking classes. Jane developed Colorado-based standardized nutrition curriculum for grades K-5 and taught weekly nutrition and wellness classes within the school system. She recently wrote a children’s cookbook, Cooking Is Cool, which emphasizes creative, flavorful recipes using only natural foods that kids will love.
Jane has lived in Boulder for 14 years, is the mother of four children, and is passionate about teaching and counseling adults, students, and children about the value and importance of good nutrition.
