About Robyn Kenul, Certified Chef and Nutritionist
Robyn Kenul is a Certified Chef and Nutritionist with Essential Nutrition. She holds an Associate degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colorado.
Robyn’s passion for cooking developed throughout her life, helping her mom in the kitchen. Her love for cooking nutritious food supports her philosophy that food can heal. Robyn’s desire to learn more about the healing powers of a healthy and balanced diet naturally steered her toward a career in nutrition and culinary arts at Johnson and Wales University.
Robyn has worked for Parker Adventist Hospital’s award-winning meal service program (including the 2011 Patient Satisfaction Award, the American Heart Association’s Heart Failure Gold Performance Achievement Award, and the 2009 Best Hospital Chef Award) where she cooked for patients with restrictive diets, such as low sodium, high fiber, soft foods, allergy-free meals, and low sugar. Robyn has strong expertise in all kinds of cooking, including vegetarian, Mediterranean, and ethnic cuisine, as well as baking healthful desserts. She is passionate about helping individuals and families create fast, healthful, and flavorful meals while respecting their taste preferences, skill in the kitchen, and budgetary needs.
Robyn offers one-on-one nutrition counseling, supermarket tours, and in-home cooking classes for various health-related concerns and conditions. Her nutrition approach emphasizes working together to find simple, practical solutions that optimize nutritional intake and health in a sustainable way.
Robyn’s enthusiastic, non-judgmental, and encouraging approach to nutrition creates a warm, supportive environment in which her clients learn and grow, as she shares her passion and knowledge with them.
