About Mylène van Zijl

Mylène van Zijl is a Registered Dietitian and certified lactation consultant with a master’s degree in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. She has experience counseling a variety of clients and families in helping them gain a healthy relationship with food. She believes nutrition does not have to be over-complicated with specialty or fad diets and enjoys teaching clients a more balanced and inclusive eating approach that they can incorporate in their lifestyle. 

Mylène is very focused on patient centered counseling and the importance of actively listening to what every client needs to help them achieve their nutrition goals. She has worked as a public health dietitian helping prenatal/postpartum women, infants and children to create a healthy nutrition environment within their busy lives. 

When she is not at work, Mylène enjoys doing improv, spending time with friends and family, and crafting.
